THE REVAMPING
OF SOCIETY

The-Revamping-of-Society

INTRODUCTION

The revamping of society is bringing about changes towards domination that will provide destructive measures, by casting aside godly influence, and allowing the carnal side of man to reign.  Apostle Paul wrote: This know that in the last days (which we are in) perilous times shall come. Men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous (money lovers), boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent (without self control).

Fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady (reckless), high-minded.  Lovers of pleasures more (rather) than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof, from such turn away (2 Timothy 3:1-5).  Apostle Paul was pointing out the need to turn away from such activities, do not participate, or compromise one’s integrity!

The Revamping of Society
Failing to Promote Godliness

We are witnessing perilous times due to walking away from the precepts of God’s Word; failing to promote godliness as before.  It was noted that we are living in a very permissive day when the religious world is so tolerant to most any and all kinds of standards and lifestyles. This permissiveness and tolerance is the result of a self-willed and carnal minded society

As a result of tolerance and permissiveness, there are many churches, and even denominations, which have altered their teachings, their standards, and even their interpretations of the Scriptures to please, to comply with and accommodate this permissive and tolerant society. Very few people this day hold to their heart’s convictions; they change to blend in with their environment.

Social and Moral
Behavior

Identifying the entirety of God’s Word is not popular; neither was it in the days of the Old Testament prophets, such as Jeremiah.  It was noted that it had to be difficult for Jeremiah always having to be the bearer of bad news, and always being rejected.  Jeremiah was continually mocked by the people for bringing nothing but words of condemnation.

Jeremiah's words enraged the people.  He challenged their social and moral behavior.  He held his ground and was not afraid to give them unpopular criticism.  Today there are those who are giving humanity's vilest nature what they want to hear, justification to do exactly as they please with no regard to a day of reckoning.

Ungodliness Flourishing

The Prophet Jeremiah cried out: Wash your heart from wickedness, that you may be saved, How long shall your vain (wicked) thoughts lodge with you (Jeremiah 4:14)?  It was noted that such thinking today can arise from many sources: absorbing immoral movies and television; carelessly surfing the Internet; listening to malicious talk; ignoring the Word of God; giving into a materialistic worldview.

The revamping of society has enhanced ungodliness to flourish rather than heed the warnings given in Jeremiah’s day! It was asked: Will we allow the sanctifying Scriptures and the purifying blood of Christ to cleanse our heart and mind or will we persist in sin-filled thinking and experience God's judgment?

No Shame

Display-of-Pride-and-Arrogancy

The revamping of society, to suit man, will bring popularity to those promoting its advancement.  We are living in a period of time proclaimed by Jeremiah: Were they ashamed when they committed abomination, no they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush, therefore they shall fall among them that fall; at the time I visit (punish) them they shall be cast down, saith, the Lord.

Stand you in the ways, and see and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and you shall find rest for your souls; but they said, we will not walk therein. Also I set watchmen over you, saying, hearken to the sound of the trumpet; but they said we will not hearken (Jeremiah 6:15-17).

The revamping of society has opened the door towards ungodliness being accepted, with no regard towards consequences for having done so. Jeremiah, in speaking the Word of the Lord, identified the result for having done so: Hear, O earth; behold, I will bring evil (calamity) upon this people, even the fruit of their thoughts because they have not hearkened to my words, nor to my law, but rejected it (Jeremiah 6:19).

Turn from the Truth

Apostle Paul declared the revamping of society in writing to Timothy, a young evangelist:  The time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts (desires) they shall heap to themselves teachers; having itching ears; and shall turn away their ears from the truth and shall be turned into fables (that which is factitious) (2 Timothy 4:2-4).  Teachers who appeal to itching ears tell people what they want to hear, not what they need to hear.

Apostle Paul instructed Timothy:  Preach the word; be instant (ready) in season, out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine (2 Timothy 4:2); watch in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of your ministry (2 Timothy 4:5).  It was noted that preaching is the God-ordained means to prevent defection from the truth.

Power and Control

The revamping of society has become contagious in many ways; one such way is the wealthy and powerful elite coming together to dominate and control society, with an agenda to facilitate power and control; one such organization is “The Word Economic Forum” which hosts meetings every year to promote the revamping of society.

WEF is supported by a vast international network of state and corporate leaders towards the global vision of the future.  It utilizes global crisis(s) towards domination of every aspect of humanity.  Another area of concern is Marxism and Socialism, cousins of Communism, sweeping many lands, with an attempt to dethrone God from society, which is a threat to its goal.

Axis of Evil

Inventors-of-Evil-Things

Not only is there an influence rising through Socialism and Marxism; but the revamping of society, through such names as Critical Race Theory (CRT), Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) that would upset the normality of life.  Included in this spin-off axis of evil is a drive to maintain legalized abortion, homosexuality, same sex marriage, and transgenderism as normal, though it is condemned in God’s Word.

It was noted that goals include: Discredit family as an institution; control of the schools to use as tools for promoting ungodly agenda; eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them violation of free speech and free press; break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography in books, magazines, motion pictures, and TV; infiltrate the press, gain control of key positions in government, radio, TV, and motion pictures; infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with social religion, and discredit the Bible.

Perverse Generation

Apostle Peter, on the Day of Pentecost, warned against social evils, in saying: Save yourselves from this untoward (crooked) generation (Acts 2:40).  He was warning of a perverse generation; separate from such, do not partake of their evil ways, but rather come out from among them. Many today would lead one astray; if not grounded, and rooted, in God’s Word.

God has provided His Spirit to lead and guide in all truth. Jesus said: You shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free (John 8:32). Man has evolved into a mold of acceptance of the previously unacceptable; deceiving many into believing a lie rather than the truth; with just enough truth to camouflage its deceptive nature.

Sounding the Alarm

Prophet Isaiah, in speaking the words of the Lord, proclaimed:  Hell has enlarged herself, and opened her mouth (a bottomless pit) without measure; and their (the ungodly) glory and their pomp, and he that rejoices (in such gain) shall descend into it (Isaiah 5:14). Apostle John noted the fate of the ungodly: I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works (Revelation 20:12).

Whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire (Hell) (Revelation 20:15).  It was noted that the dead are judged from two sets of books.  The books contain the record of every unsaved person which clearly shows that each one is a guilty sinner deserving a place in Hell.  The Book of Life contains the name of every person who has received eternal life through faith. The choice is up to each individual as to where their final destiny will be.

Deception at Hand

There is a heaven to gain (through Jesus Christ as one’s Lord and Savior) and a Hell to shun.  Apostle Peter warned: Beware lest you, being led away by the influence of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness (2 Peter 3:17).

Deception begin in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:3), in the form of a serpent (Satan’s tool of deception), who made the forbidden fruit appealing enough to become disobedient to God’s Word.  Satan is still active today, in the same manner, to take as many with him as possible, to the place called Hell, which will one day be his final resting place.

Way of Eternal Life

Scripture reveals God so loved the world (His creation), that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him, should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). This is the condemnation, that light (the Lord Jesus Christ) is come into the world, and men loved darkness (sinful attributes) rather than light, because their deeds were evil (sinful) (John 3:19).

Apostle John noted: He that believes on the Son (the Lord Jesus Christ) has everlasting life (a heavenly abode); and he that believes not the Son shall be see life; but the wrath of God abides (remains) on him (John 3:26). As previously stated one’s final place, after this life, is up to each individual; the decision towards repentance and salvation, has to be made while here on earth.  Scripture reveals:  It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27).
