MANKIND
INTRODUCTION
The enslavement of mankind is being exercised with an advancement towards the secular and dominating features of those desiring empowerment and global rule! There is an attempt to eliminate Christian influence in order to facilitate dominance of mankind.
Karl Marx, Father of Communism, noted: My object in life is to
dethrone God and elevate man. We are
witnessing Marxism and Socialism, cousins of Communism, flourishing though
their originators are not among the living.
The Enslavement of Mankind
Goals
In addition to Marxism and Socialism, the enslavement of mankind is being ushered in through such names as Critical Race Theory (CRT), the Great Reset Plan, instituted by the World Economic Forum; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Transformation; to name but a few, that would upset the normality of life. Included in the spin-off of evil is a drive to maintain legalized abortion, homosexuality, same sex marriage, and transgenderism as a way of life.
It was noted that goals include: Discredit family as an institution; control of the schools to use as tools for promoting a desired agenda; break down cultural standards of morality; infiltrate the press, gain control of key positions in government, radio, TV, and motion pictures; infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with social religion!
Ocean of Appeasement
Enslavement is to make slaves of your captives, to dominate; disallow freedom, subject to the will of another, one’s person or services under strict control of another, losing the power of resistance, surrendering to the power of another, and no political or civil rights!
It was noted that a man without God is like a ship without a rudder (Anonymous). We are seeing this happening when individuals, and nations, fail to recognize God as their benefactor, drifting aimless in the vast ocean of appeasement through the influence of others!
There is also a drive towards enslavement of the youth towards ungodly pursuits; with less godly influence than before! Lenin, Founder of the Soviet Union, stated: Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.
Entrapment
Prophet Jeremiah, in speaking the words of the Lord, noted: Among my people are found wicked men; they lay wait (lie in wait), as he that sets a snare, they set a trap, they catch men (Jeremiah 5:26). It was noted that they look about, to rob one of what they have, to set a trap for them to fall into! They catch men, to rob them of their substance (freedom to possess such), though ill examples (influences) and counsel, to circumvent them from previous possessions!
We are witnessing such entrapment towards the enslavement of mankind to circumvent freedoms once possessed; little by little until they are completely taken away! Marxism and Socialism works in like manner, at first being attractive to the eye, as was the forbidden fruit offered to Eve in the Garden of Eden!
Scripture reveals it was good to look upon, pleasant to the eyes, and desirable, presented as such by the serpent, who was more cunning than any other beast in the field (Genesis 3:3-6). Being ensnared was costly to all involved, with a price being paid for allowing the fruition of the entrapment to become a reality!
Bringing a Falsehood
The Psalmist revealed: He (the deceiver) travails with iniquity, and has conceived mischief (trouble), and brought forth falsehood (a lie). He made (dug) a pit, and is fallen into the ditch which is made. His mischief (trouble) shall return unto his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate (crown of his own head) (Psalm 7:14-16).
It was noted that conceiving mischief is an affront to God; His justice and holiness! Bringing forth falsehood (a lie) is done with expectation of success, with a purpose in mine, but disappointment when failure to produce results. Made a pit is towards the victim for a desired gain, but is fallen into by the originator when the plot fails!
An example is Haman who was hanged upon the very gallows he had built for Mordecai, a Jew, who he was attempting to eliminate (along with all the Jews in Persia) (Esther 7:10). This brings us to that which was conceived and devised, to fall upon others; will fall upon the deceiver, a just judgment from heaven upon him, coming upon his own pate (head)!
Rejection of the
Truth
It was noted that it had to be difficult for the Prophet Jeremiah having to be the bearer of bad news and always being rejected. Jeremiah was continually mocked by the people for bringing nothing but words of condemnation. Jeremiah's words enraged the people. He challenged their social and moral behavior. He held his ground and was not afraid to give them unpopular criticism!
Today there are those who are giving humanity's vilest nature what they want to hear, justification to do exactly as they please with no regard to a day of reckoning. This is the enslavement of mankind towards a secular dominated world rather than what was originally intended by God!
God has His watchman, such as Jeremiah, sounding the alarm but with some failing to respond to His beckoning call towards repentance of the soul and a return to God! There are nations that were previously under the leadership of God, blessed with prosperity, umbrella of protection and deportment, which has now departed due to ungodliness being allowed without reproach or rejection!
Conquer the World
The enslavement of mankind, or attempt to do so, was illustrated by a certain political leader who made frequent use of Christian language. He talked about the blessing of the Almighty and the Christian beliefs which would become the pillars of the new government. He spoke of his spirituality to the press; he displayed his tattered Bible and declared that he drew the strength for his great work from it, with many welcoming him as a man sent from God. Who was this leader? It was Adolf Hitler!
He won over the people with his persuasive speech, but later sought to conquer the world with design towards an acceptable race of people and to eliminate any who did not fit into his chosen class! History reveals that his sought after gain failed due to godly nations, desiring their freedom, having overpowered his armies, through godly leadership and intervention! We live in a time that such leadership need to be sought after; instead ungodly leadership coming into power!
Diminish of Godly
Pursuits
The enslavement of mankind is becoming more popular with diminish of godly pursuits that would readily have been received in an earlier generation! There is a new foundation being laid, as in the days of the Prophet Ezra, when a younger generation, who had not witnessed the former foundation (temple) were rejoicing with others (ancients of the land) weeping due to its sorrowful contrast (Ezra 3:12)!
Prophet Haggai, in reference to such, asked: Who is left among you that witnessed the first, and how do you see it now? Is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing (Haggai 2:3)? It was noted that although the builders of the second foundation (temple) prayed for the Shekinah glory to return, there is no record that it ever did!
Corrosive Immoral
Breath
It was noted that if humanity continues to drift morally and socially during the next century, as it did during the present one, we will sink into the abyss of total corruption and despair. We are suffering from the corrosive immoral breath of the 21st century. The secularism, humanism, materialism, liberalism, and commercialism of our day have devastated our resources of security. The enslavement of mankind is not a pretty sight to those who recognize the offspring of such conditions!
I thank God for countries that continue to elevate freedom above enslavement! I thank God for nations that still seek after God; not in name only but with a sincere heart-felt desire to serve and worship Him! I thank God for the freedoms held and those determined to maintain them; no matter the cost! Sometimes the reality of what one possesses is not known until it is taken away!
Ungodly Culture Drift
Theodore Roosevelt noted: Every thinking man realizes that the teachings of the Bible are interwoven with our whole civic and social life that it would be literally impossible for us to figure what life would be if those teachings were removed. We would lose almost all the standards by which we now judge both public and private morals; all the standards towards which we strive to raise ourselves.
Daniel Webster stated: If we abide by the principles taught in the Bible, our country will go on prospering and to prosper; but if we neglect its instructions and authority, no man can tell how sudden a catastrophe may overwhelm us and bury all our glory in profound obscurity; words of the past that need to be heeded too!
The enslavement of mankind is when enlightenment is not relished or even desired; when man elevates toward the ungodly culture drift, without realizing the damage it has caused through blindly pursuit of its supposed benefits! Thomas Jefferson stated: I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man! Can one who has tasted the goodness of godliness and freedom do any less? Can a nation that has relished the God of freedom, suffer to do any less?
Provision for Mankind
God make a provision for mankind, after the sin came into existence in the Garden of Eden! Scripture reveals: God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son (the Lord Jesus Christ), that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16). This is the condemnation, that light (the Lord Jesus Christ) is come into the world, and men loved darkness (sinfulness) rather than light, because their deeds were evil (John 3:19).
The enslavement of mankind (its sinfulness) is lifted upon acceptance of Christ into one’s heart and life! Apostle John wrote: He that believes on the Son (the Lord Jesus Christ) has everlasting life (a heavenly gain); and he that believes not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abides (remains) on him (John 3:36). Enslavement, and remaining in sin, is through rejection of God’s solution towards the sinfulness of mankind; the Lord Jesus Christ!
