The Condition of the Soul
The condition of the soul is of up most importance as to the state of immortal man. Heaven and Hell are a reality and one's destination for eternity depends on the condition of the soul in this life. The spiritual part of man, in regard to his moral state, will be subject to happiness or misery in the life to come.
Apostle Paul, in writing to the church at Corinth, stated there is a resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption (or that of a perishable state); it is raised in incorruption (or imperishable): it is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body (1 Corinthians 15:42-58).
The Reality of Hell
On this Website I have the testimony of a man who said the Lord revealed the reality of Hell to him
To Hell and Back.
Others have had a glimpse of it through various means. Scripture reveals the realness of such a place. In one passage, found in the Book of Isaiah, it reveals that Hell has enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure (Isaiah 5:13-15). There was a great forsaking in the midst of the land (Isaiah 6:12) that prompted a warning to be issued that one may avoid this place of eternal torment and suffering.
It is not God's desire that any perish but that all should come to repentance. Scripture reveals that one is to lay aside all filthiness and abundance of naughtiness (or wickedness), and receive with meekness the engrafted (or implanted) word, which is able to save your souls (James 1:21). The condition of one's soul is of up most importance to the Almighty God, the God of all creation, our Father in heaven, who created all things for His pleasure (Revelations 4:11).
God's Concern for the Soul
God is concerned about the condition of one's soul in a time that many have lost sight of His loving care. The enemy of one's soul has infiltrated many a life in an attempt to shipwreck one's faith by seemingly insurmountable walls of life itself. I was at such a place in my own life when prophecy was given to me:
"Things you have seen tonight you will see again and everything you see you may not understand but what you feel is mortal to thy spirit and that is why I want you up in the Spirit and tonight if you will just continue in this march in God's army I will set you at liberty and I will loose every bond of area, every hindering force that will ever be in your life. If you continue in this Spirit, lo, if you continue in my Spirit, every mountain shall collapse, every wall shall be removed and there shall be nothing you shall not afford in Jesus' name of life".
A Heaven to Gain - A Hell to Shun
There is a Heaven to gain and a Hell to shun. For what shall a man profit, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul (Matthew 16:26)?
It is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment (Hebrews 9:27). Man will one day have to stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he has done, whether it be good or bad (2 Corinthians 5:10) or the Great White Throne Judgment in which the small and great, shall stand before God. And the books shall be opened: and another book, which is the book of life; and the dead will be judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And whosoever is not found written in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire (Revelations 20:12-15).
Scripture reveals that he that overcomes shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving....shall have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone (Revelations 21:7-8). God has made a way of escape, through His Son, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), but if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9), for the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7). The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23).
