Have You Soaked In God's Tub?When clothes are very dirty they are first soaked to loosen the dirt before you wash them. Sometimes they have deeper stains that you need to pre-treat, put detergent on these spots and scrub to get the stains out. Then you are ready to place them in the regular wash. We are like those clothes when we are out in sin, we are dirty and spotted with the sins of the world.
We Need To Be SoakedWe need to be soaked in the blood of the Lamb. Then we need to have our spots scrubbed with the Lord's grace. Then we are ready to be placed in God's wash pot of sanctification and totally cleansed from our old sinful nature. We then become ready for the starch that will stiffen us and help us to stand. We are now ready to be dried by the heat of the Holy Spirit. Now we can be ironed by the Word of God and hung in the closet of prayer. We are now ready to be worn by the Holy Spirit and go forth and do the work God calls us to do.
