Paying the PriceHave we paid the price? I am sure God must weep when He looks down upon His church and sees how it has drifted far from Him since coming to Him with a repentant heart. We must turn back to our first love and the joy we once felt from the cleasning of an old sinful, wretched soul, as He cleansed us from the filth of sin in our life, and how clean and renewed we felt. We had become a new creature in Christ. We wanted to shout it and tell it to every one around us, what God had done for us.
Have You Ever Seen A Demolition Derby?Have you ever seen a demolition derby? Each one tries to smash and cripple the other car so they cannot move or run. You then see cars with bumpers or fenders just barely hanging on. This is the way of some Christians. They see how close to the things of the world they can get and soon they have dents to prove it. The closer to the world the further from the Lord they become. Soon they have all the tell tale signs of the world printed all over them until they are no longer recognizable as Christians. They look and act just like the world, but then have to go back to God's body shop for repairs. Would it not have been better and less costly if they had stayed farther from the world and closer to the Lord?If We Want To See ChangesIf we want to see changes in this sinful world we live in and lead souls to Christ then we are going to have to repent, fast and pray for our country, and all the countries of the world, and all the lost souls of our universe. There has to be a change in us, God's church, before we can expect to see a change in the world and the people around us. We, God's people, have to be totally committed to Him, and for His work for us, and then we have to be obedient to doing that work with a Holy zeal.Are We Ready To Pay the Price?Are we ready to pay the price? Are we ready and willing to say "Lord, here I am, send me." If not, then we need to go to the altar and ask for a renewed Vision of Jesus.
