Five Blessings Believers Are Filled With
Darlene Gay
Five blessings believers are filled with:
1 - Spiritual circumcision
2 - Being raised from the old life
3 - New life
4 - Removal of the curse of the law
5 - The conquering of Satan and his demonic forces
We Are Complete in Him
And ye are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power (Colossians 2:10). You are complete in Him (or "you are filled" by Him). Believers have been filled by Jesus with all the spiritual blessings they need; therefore they are "complete" and lacking nothing. This too, refutes the heresy that denied that Christ is sufficient and encouraged Christians to look to other spiritual beings for help:
1 - It is the removal of the spiritual foreskin of the heart, the sin that dwells in it, and then it will be whole.
2 - Dying out to the old sinful nature and being raised to a new spiritual life in Christ Jesus.
3 - This new life in Jesus is full of peace and joy from knowing you are a new creature in Him.
4 - The curse of the law has been removed by the death and resurrection of our Lord.
5 - Jesus conquered Satan and his demonic forces when He took the keys of death and hell and rose victorious from the grave.
We Can Be Overcomers
Because He overcame we can be overcomers in all things. We just have to lean on Him and let Him lead us and direct our lives. If our total trust, faith, belief, and determination is in Jesus Christ our Lord then nothing can stop us or hinder us from living a total victorious life. We do not have to let circumstances or troubles, or trials, defeat us. We just have to stand fast in the one we serve and believe we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us and helps us to be overcomers in Him.
We Can Rest In His Assurance
He will never let us down, never leave us alone, never abandon us, but He is with us all the way in anything that would come against us to try to weaken us or cause us to fall. We can rest in the assurance that He will keep us from all harm and evil. Nothing can keep us from walking with Him and living for Him but ourselves.
Spending Time With Him
When we spend daily time in our prayer closet with Jesus, communing with Him and getting to know Him, then we draw closer to Him. If we spend time in His word we can learn how we are to walk, talk, act, dress, and how to treat others we come in contact with. The precious words in this book, "The Bible", is our road map to heaven. If we follow it we will never get lost, and we will make it all the way home. His Word is full of assurances and blessings.
What A Glorious Day
What a glorious day that is going to be, when we get to heaven and see our precious Lord face to face and hear Him say, "Well done thou good and faithful servant, enter into My rest." What a blessing it will be!
